Having previously known the owner, I was pleased to support her new business venture. Together, we developed a brand identity and logo that reflected her distinctive and charming style. As a new business, her primary goal was to establish her presence and attract new clients. We designed business cards, brochures, rack cards, and various other collateral to assist her in raising awareness. After several successful years in operation, we determined that a brand refresh was appropriate, which involved updating the color palette, logo, and website.

The Creative Process
It was essential for this brand to convey a personalized and tailored approach, reflecting the owner’s personal taste. We started with the logo and developed a brand identity that exudes a retro, warm, and inviting atmosphere. The owner wanted to incorporate elements that represent one of her favorite locations, Colorado, which we achieved through a serene color palette and the inclusion of mountain imagery in the logo.

Our aim with this logo was to showcase “training in action.” The owner also wanted the design to reflect her journey and future goals, which include training puppies in the Colorado mountains. We focused on the trainer and the puppy as the main elements, with the mountains in the background.

We designed all the printed materials in Canva, so the owner could easily access and update her marketing materials as her business developed and changed over time.

Social Media
Occasionally, the owner will request my services to curate social media content. To do this, we map out content for the next 3-6 months, identifying key objectives. From there I create a cohesive collection of images which I add as templates to Canva so she can have easy editing access and use as she wishes.
Standard Website Design
Focused Fido’s website was developed in Squarespace as part of my standard website package. The primary goals of the site were to inform clients about available services, facilitate new client inquiries and information collection, share helpful resources, and ultimately offer online courses. It was important to ensure that the website aligned with the owner’s values, which influenced the selection of images and the tone of the content.
